Liposomal Ions ׀ Liposomal chloride is designed for delivery of chloride across the cell membranes. Potassium chloride at an internal concentration of 150 mM is encapsulated in the liposome. The external chloride concentration is 2 mM. To ensure the delivery efficiency, the lipid composition of the liposomal chloride is the same as that for a liposomal drug in clinic which is HSPC: DSPE-PEG2000: cholesterol (3:1:1, mass ratio). The average size of liposomes is about 130 nm. This product includes 2 ml of 150 mM potassium chloride encapsulated in 6 mg/ml liposomes in 0.1 M NaCl.
