Description
Pseudo SARS-CoV-2 Green Reporter | C1110G
Baculovirus pseudotyped with SARS-CoV-2 spike protein:
Pseudo SARS-CoV-2 is a BSL-1 baculovirus pseudotyped with SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. Pseudovirus enters the host cell through interactions with ACE2 and other host proteins, then delivers a reporter that expresses bright green fluorescence in the host cell nucleus. When viral entry is successfully blocked, the host fluorescence is decreased.
- Detect host-pathogen interaction in living cells
- Identify therapeutic drugs that block viral entry
- Cost effective screening with minimal safety requirements
Pseudo SARS-CoV-2 BacMam is pseudotyped with the original variant of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein formed during BacMam production. Spike decorates the surface of the pseudovirus, facilitating entry into cells expressing ACE2. BacMam is high titer and more cost effective to use than lentivirus.
Depending on your cell type of interest, additional proteins like ACE2, TMPRSS2, Neuropilin, or Cathepsin-L may need to be expressed to allow for pseudo SARS-CoV-2 entry.
