Cdc42 Source: GST-tagged recombinant human produced in E. coli

Purity: > 90% by SDS-PAGE, apparent Mr ~ 48-kDa.

Supplied: In 50 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.0 buffer containing 14 mM β-mercaptoethanol, 1 mM benzamidine, 0.1 mM phenylmethanesulfonyl fluoride, 1 mM EDTA, 0.03% Brij-35 and 10% glycerol.  5 μg of the purified protein are supplied in 50 μl of the buffer; 25 μg or 50 μg of the purified protein are supplied in 100 μl  of the buffer. Maintain preparations in aliquots at -70° C. Avoid repeated thawing.

Background: Cdc42 is a Rho-like GTP-binding protein. It is involved in signal transduction regulation and cytoskeleton reorganization in response to growth factor stimulation. Cdc42 activates members of the PAK protein kinase family by binding to their regulatory domain. The catalytic domain is then able to undergo autophosphorylation and concomitant activation.
